Charmaine was born in the Philippines and immigrated to Canada at the age of six. Not long after she moved to Canada, her parents enrolled her into piano lessons. Charmaine studied piano at Conservatory of Music in Windsor, then transferred to Academie Ste. Cecile when she moved to Tecumseh. Charmaine's training at Academie Ste. Cecile greatly influenced her classical background in piano. In 2011, Charmaine received her B.A. in International Relations from University of Windsor. Her formal education taught her about community relations, and she hopes to intertwine her two passions in working with the community and in playing music. In 2013, Charmaine managed a fundraising show entitled, A Love Letter to Windsor, which showcased the local talent in the Windsor-Essex community. Charmaine is also a member of the Windsor Community Choir and performed in choir concerts, including The Christmas Rose.
